Day 2- The Interview (American)

The Interview 2014 poster.jpg
"The film stars Rogen and James Franco as journalists instructed to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong-un (played by Randall Park) after booking an interview with him."

A funny comedy about killing a man who already looks like a joke. I enjoyed the film it was much better than Pineapple Express. Despite all the toilet humor the movie has a lot of value by trying to show the North Koreans that their "god" (kim Jong UN) is just a man without any trying to be that serious. I enjoyed how real some of the characters felt and the story content as lot of the things you see were read about from non-fiction books based on North Korea. Randall Park did a good job at the playing the North Korean leader, I enjoyed seeing him perform. Even though the makers of this film didn't intend to spark a big talk about it, this film has started to open peoples minds. I hope to see more films about North Korea and comedies with Seth Rogen and James Franco.
I enjoyed the realism in the film, the direction was good but some of the jokes could have been better. I think the Korean side of the cast was great as it was the first time I saw all of them perform. I would suggest this film if you are interested in North Korean and if you like Seth Rogen and James Franco.

3/5

Little Info:

A lot of people are butt sore about this movie, they are allowing themselves to be scared off by some fat kid from North Korea. Sony has nearly moved this film out of the theaters in fear after they were hacked.

A south Korean activist has air dropped copies of this film into North Korea. He is hoping that it shows that the North Korean leader is just a man.

This the second film in which Seth Rogen and James Franco Co-lead a movie. They have appeared together in This is the End, The Green Hornet, Knocked Up, freaks and Geeks, and a few others.
